Arrival: Students may be dropped after 8:15 a.m. on school days, please no earlier. Supervision is not available prior to 8:15 a.m. on the Sagert campus.
Kindergarten: Please do not drop students off for the morning classes before 8:20 a.m. Please do not drop afternoon students off for the afternoon classes before 12:10 p.m.
Pick-up: School dismissal time is 2:55p.m. for Kindergarten-5th grades, 3:10 p.m. for 6th-8th grades. It is important that grades 1st-5th are picked up no later than 3:15 p.m. After that time, regular staff will not be available to supervise students. Safety and other concerns keep us from allowing HCES students to be left unsupervised. Therefore, any child not picked up by the designated times must wait in the holding area (school office). In order to help us maintain a safe environment, parents may be required to come into the building to sign their child(ren) out.
Kindergarten: Half Day Kindergarten school dismissal time is 11:25 a.m. for all morning classes. It is important that students are picked up no later than 11:30 a.m. School dismissal time is 2:55 p.m. for all afternoon classes. It is important that all students are picked up no later than 3:05 p.m. to allow for the Middle School car line beginning.
We wish to accommodate family emergencies. If you are detained because of weather, illness, and accidents, etc., please call the office as soon as possible and let us know that you will be late. We will make arrangements to see that your child is not left unsupervised while he/she waits to be picked up.
Class Schedule
Kindergarten - 5th grade: Chapel for the elementary school Kindergarten - 5th grade will be held on Wednesdays in the Multi Purpose Building (Gym) at 12:30. Chapel for the Middle School 6th-8th grades will be held on Wednesdays in the MPB –Gym at 8:30 am. Chapel is considered an important part of the educational ministry of Horizon Christian Schools so parents, family members, and friends are welcome and encouraged to attend chapel services. No prior notice is required. Chapel schedules may vary or change throughout the year.
Parking: Upper (South West) parking lot and lower (South West, by covered play area) are closed to all traffic except during morning and afternoon car lines- 8:00 a.m. - 8:45 a.m. and 2:45p.m. To 3:45 p.m.
Please for the safety of our students: No parking anywhere on the west side of campus outside of these times.
Parking lot speed is 5 MPH or slower. Please use the designated drop off/pick up areas rather than allowing your child(ren) to cross traffic.
