Horizon Christian Schools seek to provide students with a excellent education in the context of an evangelical worldview, to encourage each student’s growth in Christ and to partner with parents to help students recognize and follow God’s plan for their lives.
A Christian worldview integrates that which one knows by experience and logic with that which one knows by faith so that one may come closer to God’s perspective of reality. An integration of faith, logic and experience is part of every student’s day at any one of the Horizon Christian Schools. The goal at Horizon Christian Schools is to prepare each student to turn to God as Lord and to help that student pursue the specific call of service that God has chosen for him/her (Prov 22:6).
All aspects of making disciples (Matt 28:19-20) are evident within Horizon Christian Schools. Evangelism, training in righteousness, encouragement to love and good works, and pressing onward to the fullness of Christ would all be within our academic model. The individual learning objectives of our classes are each directed to preparing each student for an effective role in modern society. Our prayer is that every staff member’s life would be an example of faith and learning as we each seek to press on to God’s upward call in Christ (Phil 3:14).
