Horizon Christian High School International Program
Program
In September of 2009 HCHS was granted official I-17 certification for accepting international students. The issuing of the I-20 document needed for a F-1 study visa is granted through acceptance of enrollment.
Enrollment
HCHS is enthusiastic about international students who wish to study at our school. Foreign student applicants are accepted based on a TOEFL or SLEP score, school grades, recommendations, country of origin for the sake of a diverse population, and the quantity of host families available in the program. Applicants English skills should be equivalent to a TOEFL ibT (internet based TOEFL) score of 72 or higher to assure success at Horizon Christian High School. ESL Class
The program currently does not offer ESL classes. All international students are required to take a study skills course that will provide limited assistance in academics. Students may wish to hire a private tutor to help support further academic needs.
Host Family Program
We offer quality Christian families, most with students at the school, who warmly welcome International students into their homes.
