HCS High School 9th-12th Grades

Enrollment

Horizon Christian High School is open to students, 9th through 12th grade. HCHS admits students regardless of race, color, nationality, or ethnic origin. HCHS does, however, reserve the right to administer its school policies and programs in accordance with its mission to teach and model evangelical Biblical beliefs, ethics, and standards. Enrollment in HCHS is dependent upon available space, the academic level of the student, the recommendation of others, and the student and parent's willingness to cooperate and support the school purpose statement and its policies and procedural guidelines. Prior discipline problems, and/or suspensions or expulsions from another school, may disqualify a student from being accepted at HCHS. Any information revealed after acceptance that is determined by the school administration to be grounds for nonacceptance, will result in the dis-enrollment of the student from HCHS.

New Student Enrollment

Prior to a student's official enrollment at Horizon Christian High School, an evaluation must take place for the purpose of determining proper grade level, class placement, and/or whether HCHS is able to provide the type of environment or educational experience needed for the potential enrollee. The assessment process includes an interview and testing in reading and math as well as require letters of reference, grade reports, and an agreement from the child and parents to abide by the schools policies, procedures, and code of conduct.

Our enrollment process is as follows:

  • Applications for enrollment may be requested from the school office or downloaded and completed online, printed and delivered to the school office. Please note you will need a current version of Adobe Acrobat Reader in order to view, fill-out, save, and print these forms.  If you do not have this free software already installed on your computer, you may encounter difficulty with opening and viewing the documents.  Please do to the following website where you can download the current version for free with this link.  GET ADOBE ACROBAT READER FOR FREE.
  • Once a completed application has been received, the school will contact the applicant to set a date to interview and test the candidate.
  • If the candidate qualifies for enrollment, the enrollment papers and fees must be turned into the office to secure a spot.

Any information revealed after acceptance that is determined by the school administration to be grounds for nonacceptance, will result in the dis-enrollment of the student from HCHS.

HCHS admits students of any race, color, national or ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the above mentioned basis in administration of its educational admissions, hiring, and athletics program.
